200 North Jakarta Satpol PP Secure Christmas Worship

North Jakarta Satpol PP prepares 200 personnel to support securing Christmas celebration. Those personnel are spread to 183 churches in North Jakarta.

North Jakarta Satpol PP Head of the Civil Servant Investigation and Enforcement Section, Purnama said the security is prioritized to 28 out of 182 churches. Security priorities is based on the capacity and location of churches in strategic areas.

"Five to 10 personnel are deployed for big and priority churches," he said, Wednesday (12/25).

Purnama added that his side also prepares mobile security scheme. Personnel will conduct patrol to secure the areas.

Not only at churches, the security is also applied at shopping centers and strategic intersections such as near Ancol Station, Semper, and Kelapa Gading Roundabout.

According to him, his side also prepares special team to standby at city level. They will be deployed if the existing team needs suport.

The effort will last up to January 2, 2025. The method will be adjusted with recent condition.

"The focuses are remain the same such as praying houses and crowd centers. It is hoped North Jakarta will be safe and secure," he added.

North Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief, AKBP Wahyudi explained his side has conducted roll call to ensure the Christmas and New Year celebration security on Friday (12/20).

His side involves army, public figures and religious organization to secure the celebration together.

"The success of securing Nataru will have a positive impact on the national economic," he explained.
